The Duke welcomed Bro Scott Barbour as a candidate for (re)initiation at their October meeting held on October 18, 2017.

Bro Scott was made a Freemason in Moscow and is an ex-member of Aurora Lodge from the Grand Lodge of Russia. Scott is pursuing a career working with large multinational corporations and assisting them navigate new challenges presented by the emergence of Crypto currencies.

Originally hailing from Brisbane, Scott has been living and working on Moscow and has recently returned to Brisbane to live. Scott has been welcomed at the Duke previously as a visitor a number of times and the Duke of Leinster Lodge is thrilled that he has decided to return to Lodge and join as a member at the Duke of Leinster.

As Scott voiced a desire to re-learn the secrets and important teachings of the 1st of Entered Apprentice Degree, the Lodge was happy to utilise its planned 1st degree emulation (practice) meeting to impart these lessons to Scott. Bro Scott did an excellent job as candidate for the night and the Duke of Lodge officers performed admirably, ably assisted by members of Theodore Unmack Lodge who helped support the evening and helped with the work at hand. The Duke of Leinster Lodge greatly appreciates the continued support of our Irish Lodge friends from Theodore Unmack No. 60 and looks forward to sharing good Freemasonry together into the future.

Both the Duke of Leinster and Theodore Unmack Lodge wish Bro Scott Barbour every success in his Freemasonry.
